Stella McCartney Dancewear
THE Stella McCartney name has certainly had its fair share of exposure, thanks to her best-selling collection for Target stores here and internationally.
But one big fashion success does not a fashion business make, so the Brit-born designer has just unveiled her latest fashion foray for Australia: a dance wear collection with Adidas.
"I am so proud that this collaboration continues to grow with the introduction of `dance' as the highlight within the gym category this season,'' she says.
McCartney has been designing a gym collection for the sporty label for six seasons to fuse the sports savvy of Adidas with some Stella runway style.
The dance collection, which will be unveiled in the Martin Browne art gallery in Potts Point next Thursday, focuses on layering.
Her designs use silk-like fabrics and delicate details on tights, leotard and wraps and even a dance shoe with chunky laces.

Tommy Hilfiger To Go Fur-Free
Stella McCartney states: "I totally disagree with any electrocuted animals on people's backs," Britain's Stella McCartney told reporters after her fur-free ready-to-wear show on Thursday, in which she presented floating woollen cardigans and cashmere tops.
Her collection of knitted overalls and big-hooded anoraks worn with mini skirts struck a contrast to the range of fur-collared coats Lacroix and Valentino presented on Wednesday.
A naked protester jumped onto Lacroix's catwalk, showing her back with the crossed out word "fur" on it to photographers before being dragged away by security guards. Protesters had also tried to interrupt Valentino's show earlier.
McCartney, the daughter of former Beatle Paul, said there were enough alternatives to fur.
