Tommy Hilfiger To Go Fur-Free
- Stella McCartney states: "I totally disagree with any electrocuted animals on people's backs," Britain's Stella McCartney told reporters after her fur-free ready-to-wear show on Thursday, in which she presented floating woollen cardigans and cashmere tops. Her collection of knitted overalls and big-hooded anoraks worn with mini skirts struck a contrast to the range of fur-collared coats Lacroix and Valentino presented on Wednesday. A naked protester jumped onto Lacroix's catwalk, showing her back with the crossed out word "fur" on it to photographers before being dragged away by security guards. Protesters had also tried to interrupt Valentino's show earlier. McCartney, the daughter of former Beatle Paul, said there were enough alternatives to fur.

Adidas Collection
Dance Love ~Stella McCartney's Fri, 2007-03-16 19:34. Stella McCartney is adding dance leggings, tops, leotards and footwear to her next Adidas collection. "Stella is influenced by dance," Heike Leibl, director of Adidas by Stella McCartney, told WWD. "She was already talking about dance a couple of seasons ago, but now is the right time. There is an evolving and growing dance trend in the market, and it's projected to grow even bigger." Meanwhile, Stella McCartney's Target range sold out in 10 minutes, reports Vogue UK. Sydney shops reported queues all the way down the street. "I wanted the collection for Target to reinterpret all the 'best ofs' and 'must-haves' of Stella McCartney for winter and make my designs more accessible to a wider audience in Australia," the designer said. Sporting Goods
WITH the Stella McCartney at Target going out of control, it's no wonder other similar chain stores are rebranding themselves. Westco has had a makeover, and Carlton footballer Andrew Walker joined Collingwood's Harry O'Brien to check the range out. First Chadstone, boys, next Milan Source: Herald Sun

Natural Beauty ~ Stella McCartney~ Vanity Fair
"I don't want a product you have to mix with a spatula and wait five minutes to apply. I want things that are easy to fit into my bag and do what they say."
Four simple steps include a Gentle Cleansing Milk or Purifying Foaming Cleanser, Toning Floral Water, 5 Benefits Moisturising Cream or Fluid, and a choice of three powerful elixirs chock-full of nutritive might. Spoiling yourself never felt so virtuous. ---Stella McCartney

Aussies Go Crazy For Stella
"There's a lot of bargaining going on,'' she said. "It's crazy. It's like a frenzy.'' Catherine, 38, from Paddington, said: "McCartney's designs are beautiful and that's why people are willing to put up with this. "Most women look at each other and they know it is crazy but it's worth it.''

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2007 Runway
Stella McCartney Runway 4 March 2007 23:37 Plucky in Pink The image of a lithe young woman in clothing that swamps her fragile frame was driven home by the skirt lengths that were resolutely short throughout. Lean, nude limbs seemed all the more perfect for the spike-heeled ankle boots that only added to their preternatural length. Source: The Independent

A Frankly Fake Fur
PARIS, March 1, 2007 – The opening look at Stella McCartney—a frankly fake fur ingeniously fashioned from dense whorls of hand-tufted yarn—set the tone: Welcome to one of the least pretentious and most playful shows of Paris fashion week. The fun continued with knits, including a hard-to-miss oversize red-and-black cardigan woven into a polar-bear pattern. And last season’s rompers grew legs, becoming fine-gauge jumpsuits in hot pink or sweatshirt gray.It wasn't all games. Outerwear was sportif too, but also seriously chic. McCartney focused on loose, flaring, of-the-moment silhouettes like trapeze coats and capes. Hooded anoraks were adorably egg-shaped.Fans of her sophisticated Savile Row suits, though, will have to content themselves with a satin-lapel smoking and a cropped, double-breasted jacket with brass buttons. The look at Stella is extremely young and very long on leg, which meant few pants and short, short, short hems on baby-doll smocks, petticoat dresses, and curvy bustier styles. For extra cheek, she paired them with ankle boots and socks. Count on McCartney to bring the charm. Source: Style.Com
